Procedures than can be done to see if your premises is safe and burglar proof

Ever since the beginning of the 20th century, crime rates have been on a constant rise because of the economy going worse and employment gets harder. With this things happening, it’s only natural that some people are resorting to misdeed and felony to make ends meet. As a result our daily news are flooded about houses being burglarized and robbed while cars are stolen from left to right. With crimes like this happening around, everyone should be more cautious with their security measures and keep them checked and updated. It's only logical that we keep our home a safe haven from all the hazards of the outside world, and here are some ways to do so.
  • Putting steel bars or grilles over the windows: This might not be a good choice for those who are after aesthetics because it will make your house look like a prison but additions like these will make unwanted intrusions and break in's impossible by brute force. Breaking through a window with steel grilles would need power tools to be possible but doing this will make a noticeable amount of noise. To make it short burglars will avoid window entry at the sight of steel grilles because breaking in would consume time.

  • Make your doors open outward: This might be a simple thing to do but it really works wonder. This simple door design will make entry by brute force harder than the usual because your door hinges will oppose it rather than giving in. A door like this coupled by deadbolt locks will make a good combination for a secure door. Although deadbolts are are a bit difficult to install, it is worth the worth all the trouble.

  • Security metal bars for your garage: Although this type may be outdated and old, it still gives a very good amount of security for a cheap price. Installing this security device for your garage is very easy to do, but locking and unlocking is a bit tedious because you have to go in and out of your car and vice versa to lock and unlock your garage. Add roller shutter doorlocks and its all good. All in all it's a good choice for garage security and at the same time you can work out those legs and shake some weight off.

  • Have a dog: Having a pet dog is also a good way to ward off burglars and intruders. Mans bestfriend is always alert for those unruly guest but if your are going to get one for this purpose, pick one that would grow taller than your knee. Plus having a companion and family member is a very welcome addition unless if you or anyone in the house has allergies.

  • Think like a thief: This is the last thing to do once you have installed all your security devices and counter measures for burglars and intruders. This is to check if your house is secured enough if ever intrusions occurs. Can I go in from the front or back door? Can I break though the windows? Can I access the garage or anywhere that can be used as an entry point. Once you have answered this questions with a complete “Nope”, then you can be rest assured that your house is safe but still try to have security checks every now and then from your local locksmith. http://24hourlocksmith.com.au/
